Oldies But Goldies Return to the Food & Wine Classic

Recurring festival favorites include oven-roasted angus beef tenderloin with Idaho mashed potatoes, caramelized field mushrooms, and sauce bordelaise from Shula’s Steakhouse, as well as Dynamite Rock Shrimp from Todd English’s bluezoo.

Original dessert offerings, such as the Funfetti fried Oreo cookie with dark chocolate ganache, are the creation of the resort’s executive pastry chef and World Champion Pastry Chef Laurent Branlard.

Smokin D’s Barbecue Resort Executive Chef Dan Herman will feature his personal barbecue, such as Smoked Kurobuta Shoulder and Handcrafted Smoked Duroc Pork.

Themed areas are Carnival Corner, where you’ll find the Funfetti fried Oreo cookie; the Beer Garden serving Oktoberfest-inspired dishes; Chinatown with cuisine inspired by the famous San Francisco neighborhood; and The Pig & Poke, a Hawaiian Luau-themed area that debuted last year. At the Bubble Lounge, enjoy your hors d’oeuvres
with bubbles.

Causeway event tickets are $145 per person, per evening, which this year includes the Beer Garden. À la Carte ticket booklets containing 25 tickets are also available for purchase at the event for $65. These tickets are perfect for those with a lighter appetite and for young children. Offerings range from two to six tickets per item.

During the Food & Wine Classic, 11 hands-on seminars with the hotel’s chefs and certified beverage experts are also offered for an additional fee.
