Magic Kingdom Castle Forecourt Show is Uplifting
The Magic Kingdom is home to great attractions and some really amazing live entertainment, from street musicians to elaborate shows.
As of June 17th, Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire is the newest show in town. It features original songs and characters from Disney flicks such as The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, and Frozen. Luckily the master of the kingdom, Mickey Mouse, is still part of the show, with Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy.
Assisted by a group of merry makers, they gather their friends from other magical lands to come and celebrate with them.
Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen add a little spice of New Orleans jazz to the party. Rapunzel and Flynn Rider join the fun, and, of course, the fiesta would not be complete without Olaf, Anna, Elsa, and some icy magic. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Daisy wear different outfits during the show, depending on the musical number. It is really fun to see Goofy in a Mardi Gras outfit, and the different costumes add to the colorful performance. I love the costumes of the new show, and my favorite part is definitely Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen dancing to some great jazz tunes. The show is funny, uplifting, and very well choreographed.
The show’s original song, “On this Day,” is written by composers Brendan Milburn and Valerie Vigoda. Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire is performed several times daily. Check the daily entertainment schedule (Times Guide) for showtimes.
The area behind the friendship statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse, facing the castle, is a perfect spot to view the show. And here is a sneak peak for you to enjoy: The Royal Friendship Faire Grand Dance!
