The 14-story Swan Reserve opened in 2021 and is adjacent to Disney’s Fantasia Gardens and Fairways mini-golf course. It has 349 guest rooms, including 149 suites that are ideal for families, and two presidential suites.
The hotel has a boutique atmosphere. The rooms all have floor-to-ceiling windows, some with views of either EPCOT or Hollywood Studios.
Standard rooms sleep four and are around 330 square feet, roughly the same as a Disney Moderate. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are functional, and it’s possible to see theme park fireworks from some of the rooms.
The Swan Reserve has a stylish heated outdoor swimming pool located outside the third-floor lobby.
As a smaller resort, the Swan Reserve has just one full-service restaurant, Amare, which means love. That can be a problem on busy nights since Amare handles its own restaurant orders, plus those from the bar, the pool, and room service. Still, it gets stellar reviews from readers.
Bus service is provided to Disney’s theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs, and the Swan and Dolphin are a short walk across the street. Even though it’s a slightly longer walk to the parks or the bigger pool complex, we love the newer rooms and smaller size of the Swan Reserve compared to the Swan or Dolphin.
Guests of the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve have full access to all the amenities at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, including the Mandara Spa, six pools, 22 restaurants and lounges, preferred tee times on nearby Disney championship golf courses, and four additional signature restaurants (Shula’s Steak House, Todd English’s bluezoo, Il Mulino, and Kimonos).
The Swan Reserve is a perfect place to stay if you attend the 15th annual Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic, which returns November 15th through 16th. Set in a street party atmosphere, the Food & Wine Classic offers unlimited tastings at 85 booths along the scenic causeway, connecting the Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin.
Tickets for the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic are $195 per person per night. Guests can sample culinary treats from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Guests purchasing tickets for both days receive a 15% discount. On Saturday, November 16th, seminars are offered at the Swan Reserve from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Participation in any of the three interactive seminars requires the purchase of a separate ticket at $85. For more information, visit the event website.
