Margaritaville Resort Orlando, the New Kid on the Block

As of January 2019, Margaritaville Resort Orlando is welcoming guests to its 184-room Margaritaville Hotel. The casual-luxe design of the rooms evokes island vibes; all rooms have balconies overlooking Fins Up Beach Club and its lagoon pools. Each room includes a flat-screen TV, a mini-bar, a coffee-maker, and a workstation. The hotel also offers several suites, including a 2,500-square-foot Jimmy Buffett suite, meeting and events spaces, and several dining options.

The upscale, sit-down Euphoria restaurant will serve seafood and grilled fare, while the On Vacation Café is a fast-casual eatery serving Florida and international-inspired breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For those in a hurry, Provisions provides grab-and-go cuisine.

Island-inspired comfort foods and grilled favorites are on the menu of the poolside Salty Rim Bar & Grill. Please note that this restaurant will be open to registered hotel and cottage guests and owners only.

The resort also offers Margaritaville Cottages—stand-alone homes ranging from one to eight bedrooms for ownership or rental.

If you want to indulge in a Wasting Away Signature Massage or a Margaritaville Signature Facial, check into the resort’s St. Somewhere Spa, which comes complete with a sauna, steam room, and salt room.

Child-appropriate activities, including games, arts, and crafts, will be offered at The Parakeets Kids Club, while the Teen Center will welcome older kids for games, movies, and more.

Kids, however, will most of all enjoy Island H2O Live!, the property’s waterpark opening in the spring of 2019. In addition to thrill rides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and a river raft ride, the park will offer sand beaches and adult-only areas. The brand-new waterpark will use RFID wristbands to enable guests to personalize music and lighting on select rides, and even share their experiences on social media.

Island H20 Live! is within walking distance of the Margaritaville Orlando Resort hotel, the cottages, and Sunset Walk, the resort’s dining and entertainment district. A trolley will also be available for guests to commute from the resort to the waterpark. Single-day tickets and an annual pass will be offered. For more information on the waterpark, visit the park’s website.

An open-air promenade dubbed Sunset Walk will serve as Margaritaville’s dining and entertainment complex. Here, guests can enjoy a dine-in movie theater with 12 screens; Rock & Brews, a brewery that will host rock concerts; Yeoman’s Cask & Lion, a British-themed pub and eatery; Capone’s Coal Fired Pizza, offering made-to-order pizza; the New York-based Café D’Avignon, serving freshly made breads and pastries; and the Chicago-based Blue Agave, serving Mexican cuisine, just to name a few.

Avalon Day Spa, Bahama Bucks, BurgerFi, Cold Stone Creamery, GameTime, Bento Asian Kitchen & Sushi, IT’SUGAR, and Sketchers will also call Sunset Walk home.

Margaritaville Resort Orlando is located on U.S. Highway 192, adjacent to State Road 429 in Osceola County, across from Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Complimentary transportation to area theme parks will be available for all registered guests. Rates for a standard room start at $199.
