The 2018 Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic is returning to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort Friday October 26th and Saturday October 27th.
The 9th edition of the festival features returning favorites such as Oven roasted beef rib eye from Shula’s Steakhouse and Dragon sushi roll from Kimonos. Notable new dishes include Vietnamese Lemongrass Meatballs “On a Stick” with Vermicelli noodles, pickled vegetables and sriracha espuma from Cabana Bar and Beach Club and Dynamite Rock Shrimp with late season Zellwood corn, wasabi foam, matsutake mushrooms, Japanese eggplant and crispy lotus root from Todd English’s blue zoo. The 2018 Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic also offers eleven educational seminars. Certified sommeliers teach the skills of choosing the perfect bottle for the perfect occasion and the perfect meal in several beverage seminars. All beer, wine and spirit seminars are priced at $50. In The Fine Art of Sushi and Sake seminar guests learn to identify quality sushi and further make informed decisions on sake pairing. In the Pasta Making with Chef Cig guests will assist with the preparation of 3 different specialty pastas and learn how to prepare pasta dough from scratch. Both seminars cost $85. The Pig Poke is the new Hawaiian Luau-themed area making its debut in this years festival. Get ready for Traditional Earth Baked Kalua Pork and Tuna Poke. The Pig & Poke joins the other popular areas (Carnival Corner, Chinatown, Bubble Lounge and a Beer Garden) offering specialty cuisine. Those with a sweet tooth should make sure to taste the dessert offerings served by World Champion Pastry Chef Laurent Branlard.
The 2018 Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic offers guests unlimited tastings at more than 60 stations featuring culinary selections from the hotel’s award-winning restaurants and wine from more than 30 wineries amidst a festive backdrop of live entertainment on the hotel’s scenic causeway. Causeway event tickets are $127 per person, per evening. For $28 guests can upgrade their ticket and enjoy access to a beer garden featuring a wide selection of craft beers and Oktoberfest-inspired cuisine.
And if two days of food and wine are not enough you can partake in the Sunday Bubbles Brunch on Sunday, October 28th. In addition to breakfast classics the brunch includes a choice of one entree served at the table. Entrees such as Saltimbocca and Lobster Benedict are sure to please. The brunch is held at Il Mulino New York Trattoria and costs $94. All prices include tax. The entire Sunday Bubbles Brunch menu is available online.
