Live entertainment is alive and well at Walt Disney World, and we want to celebrate with this update and a GIVEAWAY. A special thank you to all the Cast Members who make it all happen. We are giving away a copy of The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2022 and one Blu-ray copy of the two-movie collection of Disney’s Fantasia & Fantasia 2000.
Rides are, of course, important, but live entertainment is the heartbeat of Disney. Kids and grown-ups alike are excited about the number-one event returning to all Walt Disney World parks: Character meet-and-greets! Once more, guests can get a hug from Mickey, have their pictures taken with their favorite Disney characters, and collect signatures in their autograph books.
Harmonious at EPCOT and the nightly Enchantment fireworks at Disney’s Magic Kingdom are back in full force, and so are the daytime shows.
Make sure not to miss A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King at the Harambe Theater at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, families can enjoy the Beauty & The Beast Live on Stage show at the theater of the Stars, located on Sunset Boulevard; For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along at Echo Lake; and the action-packed Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!
At the Magic Kingdom, Mickey and friends have reclaimed the stage in front of Cinderella Castle with Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire, and the full-size Festival of Fantasy Parade now delights guests twice a day (at noon and 3 p.m.)
At EPCOT, the Jammin’ Gardeners are back, and you must see the presentations of the skilled Matsuriza who deliver the thundering sound of Taiko, an ancient form of Japanese drumming, at the Japan Pavilion. Sergio the master juggler and mime is showing his talent at the Italian Pavilion, and the amazing Voices of Liberty perform at the rotunda of The American Adventure Pavilion.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, my all-time favorite group, the Tam Tam Drummers of Harambe, are back, and the Viva Gaia Street Band! entertains at Discovery Island.
Next, we are looking forward to Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond!, set to open in the summer of 2022 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theater in the Wild. And we are super excited for Fantasmic!, which will make its much-anticipated return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios by the end of this year.
