Get Ready for Irish Oktoberfeis at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant and Cookes of Dublin, now through October 6th.
When an Irish festival (feis) joins a famous Munich tradition (Oktoberfest), you get Oktoberfeis, Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant’s first Irish Oktoberfest beer festival.
Raglan Road will pour its Bavarian Irish Pumpkin Ale in collaboration with Crooked Can Brewing of Winter Garden, Florida. This classic Amber Pumpkin Ale is brewed with Irish and German malt and pumpkin spice for extra fall flavor. This exclusive-to-Raglan Road brew on tap will be served in the pub’s authentic Oktoberfeis steins. And that’s not all.
Raglan Road Chef Mark O’Neill and his team will showcase an irresistible menu of Oktoberfeis dishes available à la carte or as a three-course dining experience. That special menu includes a Potato Pretzel with beer-braised caramelized onion-and-cheese sauce and a Pork Chop Schnitzel with crispy skin on fried potato wedges, mustard cream sauce, pear and shallot relish, and fine-grated Parmesan. A sweet Oktoberfeis ending is a fall favorite: Apple Strudel with vanilla custard and vanilla mascarpone with oat crumble.
Cookes of Dublin, next to Raglan Road’s Hole in the Wall bar, will participate in the Oktoberfeis fun, serving the Bavarian Irish Pumpkin Ale in a can and offering a Pork Schnitzel Sandwich with pickled slaw, pear chutney, whole-grain mustard mayonnaise, and crispy fried onions.
According to Raglan Road’s General Manager, Rachael Conroy, Oktoberfeis is celebrated in many cities throughout Ireland and other European countries every year.
So if you are at Walt Disney World now through October 6th, be sure to join in the beer-fest fun!
