When to Book Your Disney Cruise?
Is early always the best?
Making the decision to take a Disney Cruise might seem like the hard part, but there are a lot of small details that go into it. Just like planning for a trip to Walt Disney World, planning a cruise also involves some money saving adventures. When to book your Disney cruise can be tricky. Most people realize that booking as early as possible is preferable. While this can be true – it’s possible to save 10-20% by booking a year in advance – sometimes booking late also helps. If you have a flexible schedule, booking within two weeks of leaving can sometimes save up to 25% off the price. The last minute deals work especially well if you lvd within a day’s drive of the departure port because you can avoid the last-minute price hikes on airline tickets. Last minute deals can be found on the Disney Cruise Line’s website, as well as on our favorite money-saving site MouseSavers.
Most cruise fares start low and begin to rise as the ship fills up. Consider departing from a less popular port can also be cheaper. Check out all the different ports the cruises are departing from as Disney offers aggressive discounts on cruises from ports that aren’t in great demand. Ask your travel agent for help. Travel agents know which ports aren’t selling as quickly as others.
