It’s beginning to look a lot like the holiday season at Walt Disney World, and one of Disney’s sweetest traditions has again returned for the 2019 holiday season in the form of elaborate gingerbread displays at three resort hotels near the Magic Kingdom Park.

We recently took a tour of the 2019 holiday decorations at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom-area resorts, and we returned with this video visit to give you a taste of Disney’s latest gingerbread creations from the comfort of home.

Our gingerbread tour started with a monorail trip from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Grand Floridian hotel, which is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its epic gingerbread edifice, the granddaddy of all Walt Disney World Resort snack-based seasonal displays.

The Grand Floridian’s gingerbread house isn’t simply fanciful; it’s also functional, doubling as a gift shop.

While at the Grand Floridian, we stuck our head into the recently renovated Enchanted Rose Lounge. While drink prices are stiff, the space is stunning, as you can see in this video:

By the way, if you were worried about the Grand Floridian’s band being displaced by the balcony bar’s reinvention, you can relax: they’ve got a new stage just inside the first floor lobby.

Next, we hopped on the monorail to the Magic Kingdom to take a brief look at the 2019 holiday decor that’s been hung on Main Street U.S.A.

Before long, we’d boarded the Friendship boat on a lovely magic-hour voyage to the Wilderness Lodge:

The Wilderness Lodge’s lobby is host this year to a gingerbread log cabin, featuring old-school cartoon character Humphrey the Bear.

Like the Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge offers a selection of souvenirs and sweets.

This gingerbread pine tree was a tasty treat!

After taking another journey on the boat and monorail, we arrived at our final destination, the Contemporary Resort, where a gingerbread Cinderella Castle pays tribute to Disney artist Mary Blair.

This peppermint-coated chocolate cookie was our favorite treat of this year’s holiday gingerbread tour.

Can you spot all the tiny It’s a Small World-style characters hidden in the Contemporary’s gingerbread castle?

Of course, the castle isn’t the only Mary Blair-related piece of artwork in the Contemporary’s lobby. While the gingerbread is temporary, this iconic mural is (hopefully) here forever.
