Tammy Whiting’s 10 Favorite Lounges on Disney Ships

Tammy's Favorite Lounges BANNER

Tammy Whiting, our Disney Cruise Line expert, shares her 10 favorite Disney lounges with us.

Disney Cruise Line might not be the first line you think of when you think of cool bars or lounges. But you should! They’ve built some spectacular ones; while kids are welcome during the day, these are adults-only spaces in the evenings. Here are 10 of my favorites.

1. Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Treasure Disney knocked it out of the park with this one. Hopes were high when the theme was announced, and the design did not disappoint. Disney didn’t skimp on details, and I don’t think I’ve seen a single negative review! You will feel like you’ve stepped into the Haunted Mansion attraction in the best way.

2. The Tube on the Fantasy I’m a big fan of the Tube. It’s huge, so it’s the perfect space for popular activities like trivia and Match Your Mate. It fits so many people! I also love the London Tube theme. The carpet is a map of the subway system (very Cool Britannia). The Union Jack is well represented as well.

3. Skipper Society on the TreasureSkipper Society is themed after the Jungle Cruise attraction, and it’s well done. This is a very open space on the Wish-class ships, and it was hard to imagine how Disney could pull off a Jungle Cruise space here, but it works! After 4 p.m., they offer a small selection of food to purchase. Don’t miss the waffles!

4. The Rose on Wish-Class Ships – This lounge is located right outside Palo and Enchanté, and if you think it’s strictly a waiting space for your reservation, think again. The views are spectacular during the day, and it’s a quiet space in the evenings. The bartenders are super friendly and ready to help!

5. O’Gills Pub on the Magic O’Gills was a huge success on the Fantasy, so Disney added it to the Magic during a dry dock in 2013. With its deep colors and dark woods, it’s a warm space on both ships. The only reason I would give the Magic’s version slightly higher marks is the size. There’s a lot more room on the Magic!

6. French Quarter Lounge on the Wonder During a dry dock in 2019, Disney reimagined the Promenade Lounge into French Quarter Lounge. This is a large, open space outside Tiana’s Place, one of the main dining rooms. They serve beignets in the morning (the beignets aren’t amazing, but they’re deep-fried dough dipped in sugar, so that’s hard to mess up) for a small charge. There’s even a streetcar with tables on one side. You’ll feel like you are in New Orleans!

7. Skyline on the Fantasy We first saw Skyline on the Disney Dream and fell in love! It’s such a cool space with a metropolitan feel. Guest reviews were very positive, so the Fantasy came online with its own version. There are large screens on the back that change to the skyline of a different world city every 15 minutes. We find them mesmerizing. The cities include Barcelona, Hong Kong, New York, and others. Keep your eyes peeled for Mickey waving from one of the buildings!

8. Pub 687 on the Dream 687 is the sports bar on the Dream. It’s named after the hull number the Dream was given while it was being constructed. I like this space in general—love the colors, the seating, all of it, but my favorite part is the artwork on the walls of the Dream. If anyone can figure out how to get me one of those for my next birthday, I’d be forever grateful!

9. Luna on the Wish Luna on the Wish and Sarabi on the Treasure are very, very similar. They aren’t perfect, but I love them. The second-story views aren’t always great, but I’m glad for the extra space. The biggest complaint is about the open windows on the second story, allowing anyone passing by to hear what’s going on inside. For example, little children may pass by when things like Match Your Mate (which can get a little racy) are happening. That’s clearly not ideal. But when you are in the downstairs bubble enjoying the fun atmosphere, it’s a great lounge!

10. Pink on the Dream Pink is the Champagne bar on the Dream, and even a teetotaler like myself can appreciate the colors, the live music, and the bubbles all over the wall. Keep an eye out for a tiny elephant to make an appearance in the bubbles!
