Best $6 Disney Snacks: Rising Moons Overnight Oats

Best $6 Disney Snacks Rising Moon Overnight Oats

An out-of-this-world eye-opener joins our list of Best $6 Disney Snacks as we fuel up after an early morning in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. Here’s our latest entry: a tasty cup of Rising Moons Overnight Oats.

To recap the ground rules for our ongoing Best $6 Disney Snacks series, we are looking for treats priced around $6—give or take 99 cents—that are easily available from quick-service windows and outdoor vending carts. We’re highlighting uncommon menu items exclusive to just one or two locations (no iconic but ubiquitous standards like pretzels and churros) that are worth going out of your way for when you need a quick nosh or light meal on the go.

Rising Moons Overnight Oats is a beautiful blend of old-fashioned oats, chia seeds, and yogurt, topped with juice-filled boba, diced dragonfruit, and other alien-looking seasonal fruits. Fortunately, it’s one of the few foods inside the land that not only looks like it could have come from the Star Wars films, but it also actually tastes good (we’re looking at you, blue and green milk).

Today’s entry comes in exactly at our self-imposed ceiling of $6.99, but it’s worth the extra cents for one of the tastiest—and healthiest—snacks inside Batuu’s Black Spire Outpost. Use the mobile ordering feature in Disney’s app while waiting in line for a nearby attraction, and your snack will be ready by the time you exit.

Rising Moons Overnight Oats are available exclusively inside the Star Wars lands at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Currently, Rising Moons Overnight Oats are available only at Ronto Roasters (in the past, it has also been served at Docking Bay 7) and only during the breakfast hours, from park opening until 11 a.m. However, if you’ve rope dropped the park, you should be more than ready to refuel after you’ve finished a few attractions and queues begin to build.

The patio surrounding Ronto Roasters is an ideal spot for people (and Wookiee) watching, if you’re able to snag a perch along the railing.

Recharging here with an Overnight Oats is another excellent way to wait for your Rise of the Resistance boarding group to be called, assuming you were lucky enough to win the 7 a.m. fastest-finger race.

Amazing! This was a perfect breakfast/snack. It should be offered at other parks and locations. In general it’s very difficult to find somewhat healthy food.
