Whether you’re planning your vacation to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or Universal Orlando on either coast, we are ready to celebrate summer with a Christmas in July GIVEAWAY. Two lucky winners will get a Christmas ornament!

Christmas in July

One ornament will be for those who love Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando, and the other ornament is Disney’s Halloween master of fright, Jack Skellington, who is emerging from a gift package.

Make sure to enter the giveaway of your choice at the bottom of this post for your chance to win the ornament of your choice.

The origin of the modern-day glass ornament goes back to the small town of Lauscha in Germany, where, in 1847, the glassblower Hans Greiner made the first glass ball ornaments, called baubles. German immigrants brought the tradition of decorating their Christmas trees with ornaments to the United States.

The first American-made glass ornaments were created in New York in 1870; as of 1890, F.W. Woolworth was selling $25 million worth of ornaments in his chain of stores. The now well-known Hallmark ornaments came to the market in 1973.

Who has not enjoyed a visit to Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe located at Liberty Square at Disney’s Magic Kingdom or the Disney’s Days of Christmas shop in Disney Springs, where cast members, for a fee, paint a personalization on the ornaments you buy?

Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Universal CityWalk also carry plenty of Christmas ornaments in their stores. Some of our favorites are the Harry Potter-related ones.

You could also consider crafting some ornaments yourself. There are many online DIY tutorials for your very own Disney Christmas ornaments, such as this one

Harry Potter fans will love to give these Hogwarts House Crest Christmas ornaments a try. And who would not love to welcome this super cute Grinch ornament to their home?
